Bakhtiari’s work within the energy sector, and his desire for a humane and truly sustainable food system, makes him a unique voice. While partnered with Shell Oil, he curated and launched Hangry Planet in 2022, the nation’s only health driven, plant-based and earth loving C-store. He later partnered with Vegan Mob and was pivotal in scaling the brand, making dangerously yummy BBQ soul food more accessible to the masses. Bakhtiari founded CPF after helping assemble assets and conducting undercover work that exposed a major global brand for humane washing and greenwashing. An emerging fervor for environmental justice coupled with a drive to educate, protect consumers and surface hidden truths pertaining to food choices fuels the variegated campaigns and collaborations of CPF. Since 2003, Bakhtiari has also been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for court dependent children with significant abuse histories.
He is on the Board of Directors for Jefferson award recipient Moms Against Poverty, a global nonprofit that builds schools and orphanages. As a Stage and TV actor with Outer Critics Circle nominations for his regional theater work, he can also be seen playing make believe sometimes . Bakhtiari notably suffers from spontaneous dance syndrome. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College.
